New Student Orientation is mandatory for all students and is provided each Friday afternoon starting at 12:30. Orientations generally last from 45 to 75 minutes depending on the number of students involved. Appointments can be made with our Student Development Coordinator (435-248-1844) for those students who are not available on Friday afternoons.
We have learned that a face-to-face, personal orientation provides our new students with a better understanding of what they have just become a part of. With an understanding of our history, mission, policies, procedures, placement services and media resource materials, new students are more confident as they start their journey towards career training, upgrade skills or personal interest training.
In addition to learning all about the institution, new students setup up user name and passwords to login to the Northstar Information System and their program Windows computer system, receive instructions on using the Student Portal to make payments or view progress and attendance reports, and last but not least, receive a TATC T-shirt!
