Financial Aid & Scholarships
Tuition at the Tooele Applied Technology College (TATC) is among the lowest in the state at only $1.80 per hour for adult students. High School students attend TATC tuition-free. However, if you do not have the means to make tuition and fee payments, TATC staff can refer you to federal, state and private organizations which may be able to assist with the cost of your training.
TATC participates in Federal Financial Aid and offers Pell Grants for 17 of its programs (programs 600 hours and greater). The first place to start your application is to complete the Free Application For Student Aid or FAFSA. Please click the link to watch a video on How to Fill Out the FAFSA. Student Services staff can also help you, please contact Suzanne at 435-248-1848 with your questions.
TATC offers a one-time $500 needs-based scholarship for those programs not eligible for a Pell Grant (programs 599 hours and less). This scholarship is open to all adult students and covers all programs. Determination is based on household income and size following the U.S. Federal Poverty Guidelines. Students selected for a scholarship will be notified by mail. Selections occur within two weeks of submission.

Referring Agencies and Organizations
TATC works closely with several government agencies and private organizations to help individuals obtain the training they need to qualify for employment. Some of those organizations include the Department of Workforce Services (DWS), Vocational Rehabilitation, Deseret Industries and the WIOA Youth Program. You may wish to work with one or more of these organizations directly as you arrange financing for your training program at TATC. Contact Student Services for more information.
Most of the training programs offered by TATC are approved for veterans. The student services assistants can help answer questions about programs and offerings.
The Veteran Services Coordinator is the certifying agent, and can be reached at 435-248-1844.
